Delphine graduated in 2013 with a degree in Sculpture and Environmental Art at the Glasgow School of Art and has since worked on expanding her skills as a designer/maker in the field of digital design and fabrication. Prior to starting Maik Scotland, Delphine oversaw the education and outreach programme at MAKLab, developing new workshops and events with their partners across Scotland.
During her time at MAKLab, Delphine also collaborated on a number of high profile projects within the Maker community including the Maker Library Network led by the British Council and the RE:FORM research case studies in collaboration with the Open University, funded by the RSA as part of the Future Makespace project. Delphine also continues to be on the advisory board of the Edinburgh Mini-Maker Faire.
Delphine worked in social care for 10 years before retraining at the Glasgow School of Art. Delphine has a strong interest in the principles of open knowledge and the open sharing of skills and expertise. She strives on creating new opportunities to offer access to digital equipment and resources to a wider demographic with the aim of empowering people through making.
